Yes, this explanation seems more plausible to me than an oversight in removing the film. The problem is that I don't know how it is possible to repair it, since the warranty is over.

I have the same issue, both in the top and bottom part like on the photos above. Should I remove all the plastic foil or not? What's your experience?
