ola.lofgren

I've changed batteries, still no contact with my outdoor temperatur module, is there any possibility to see if its working. It's just 1,5 years old, I thougt this was a quality brand?

Same issue, the problem is corrosion of the electrical contacts in the battery compartment. I've tried to clean it several times and every time it does work again, but for a duration that keeps getting shorter...

Same issue here. It worked fine until the batteries were empty. Tried several times to reconnect. Sometimes it seems to connect and finishes the add new unit process but then no temperature displayed anymore.

Try to have the outdoor and indoor module very close to each other (a few cm) when you insert the new batteries. This works for me, the modules reconnect and the outdoor temperature is displayed. But the problem is that it never lasts for long, after a few days it disconnects again.

Thanks “netatmo” but it does not work anymore. Even after using contact spray on the battery contacts. So it seems a general problem that occurs often when batteries are replaced. These products should last longer than one or two battery lifecycles. Is there anyone from the real Netatmo who can help fixing this product quality problem?

I have the same issue. The outdoor module stopped working a week ago. I bought it roughly 2 years ago. I changed the batteries. It did not sort out the problem.

Now not so much . Been using for years. So spoiled and hate to change to something else but with such bas customer support my have to move on. Shame on netatmo.

Hi drvoodoo, in the Netherlands I found out that Room3.nl is doing customer support for Netatmo products. I contacted them and they were friendly. Sent them the defect device and they returned a new one. So the trick is to find the support party in your country. This website with “helpcenter” in the url is unfortunately not helpful for that.

Hi, I contacted the Netatmo customer service directly by opening a ticket under the helpcenter (Go to https://helpcenter.netatmo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020908852-Communication-between-the-main-module-and-its-accessories then "Submit a request"). After the usual advice of drying the module etc, they accepted that the module was defect and sent me a coupon to order a new one for free. That's because mine was still under guarantee (slightly less than two years old) but they may not accept if it's older. But I must say the customer service was fast and friendly.

Hi, mine was slightly older then 2 years but they didn’t ask for it. Just received a new one. So very customer friendly and good service. Still I wonder why Netatmo customer service or marketing communications is not present in this customer forum? Please why not interact directly with your customers here?

That's right it would be easier. To clarify I am not from netatmo, just using the name in my email alias and I can't seem to change it on this forum!

My app freeze outdoor data on 7.1 degree Celsius for several days, when i checked historic data it haven't reported a single measure for these days. first i tried new batteries and that didn't help.
Uninstalled and installed it several times which works fine, but it will not showing any temperature at all.
Disassembled the unit and found oxide damages on circuit boards soiling to the transmitter unit.
(The transmitter is just under the black rubber that can be seen when taking of the aluminium tube.

Had a similar issue with a battery change and no connection afterwards. Turns out that the labeling on the battery was too thick not allowing the negative side to come in contact inside the unit. The cover side was no problem because it has springs. I trimmed the labeling on the negative end of the battery and it powered up and is functioning. Hope this helps somebody.
