Fault with smart thermostat, reading temperature as 27.5C when its only 18C max
I have the Netatmo Smart thermostat installed in a holiday let so I can control the temperature from the app. We had to replace the thermostat once before as rocker switch failed. Last 2 guests have been unable to get the temperature to go up, but can get it to turn down. I thought it was the rocker switch again but this time the app is showing the temperature in the house to be 27.5C, which it isn't, its 10C outside and cold inside too and heating is not coming on unless I turn the heating up in the app to over 28C! I assume the thermostat isn't working properly, does this mean purchasing another whole unit! If so has the design improved since 2018 when we bought the first ones. Is the rocker switch for turning up and down temperature manually more robust?

Update, thermostat saying its over 30C even though is only about 18c now!
I got the same issue.
Netatmo Smart Thermostat reports 45°C when it's barely 30°C.
I'm kind of concerned when I see you didn't have any feedback after 2 monthes :-(
I found out what the problem was; a battery had leaked.. a previous one and not the one in there, that had caused corrosion which couldn't be seen but I believe caused local heating so the thermostat though it was higher! Mine wasn't recoverable. As it's in a self catering holiday let the guests often use the thermostat to turn temp up or down and this ability had failed too...when I looked the metal caps on top of the switches in the circuit board had literally fallen off and fell out, so the rocker switch no longer worked. This is the second failed unit in 6 years so I've reluctantly thrown it out and installed a hive instead. I think the build quality is not good, or support and I need it to be reliable for guests.
