Outdoor Temperature Module Reporting False Values
Hi,
I live in Norway, where temperatures currently range between 12°C at night and 28°C during the day. For the last couple of weeks, my outdoor module has reported some strange temperature spikes where it would suddenly drop significantly without any apparent reason.
One example from last night: the temperature was a stable 16°C when it suddenly dropped to -4.7°C at 12:10 AM and then again at 12:25 AM. All other readings are as expected. I have seen the same issue occur at random intervals, usually 0-4 times a day. When the error occurs, it seems to report the same temperature repeatedly. Three days ago, I had four "spikes" at -25.6°C, and on another day, it was 12.4°C.
The outdoor module is probably around 5 years old. Any suggestions other than having to buy a new module? It is mounted on the outside wall, away from any direct sunlight, rain, snow, etc.
Thanks!

I have the same issue. It started a few days ago, when I suddenly got an alert telling me the temp is below 3 C. Now it reads 0 degrees C. The real temperature is 12 degrees C.
I have this issue. Is there a fix
I have the same issue. Who is supporting this?
Same here. Sort of. Outdoor module randomly reporting 65 degrees or 358.4 (three hundred fifty eight point four) degrees. Celsius.
My outdoor module is showing 15°C when the temperature is actually 3°. The unit has new batteries and is connected. Why is there no support from Netatmo customer service????
Same problem since two days here! Sudden drop of temperature: from +3,5 (real temp) to -25,8 degrees C and back in a few minutes. Several times per day (>10)
Same here. Is this a battery or range issue potentially?
Had been working fine for months
I am joining the club! Having same problem.. I hope Netatmo will send a new unit!
I had the same problem. Replacement of the batteries solved it.
I changed them not a lot of time ago.. in the app it says they are full…
Dispite that, it will help. Mine were full as well. May be some corrosion on the pins, but after I placed new ones it worked. The ordered back-up module is still in its box. Didn't need to use it.
