I want to replace an old non-functional rain gauge with a new one

I had a rain gauge that suddenly stopped working. It cold not connect with the main module. I tried everything. Apparently, it was dead. So, I tried to delete it from my system and then buy a new rain gauge. The deletion did not work because it required a functional rain gauge. Mine was broken. So, I tried to install the new one, following all the instructions. Then I was waiting for it to be recognized and I waited for over 5 minutes because it said on the app that “it may take some time”. It did not work. Now I have an old dead rain gauge and a new one that does not get recognized. What should I do?
