Netatmo Authentication Response

Sharks

Hello Netatmo,

Please create a second authentication server using the old token system. Your current method is evidently not functioning well with most home automation setups. If a solution is not provided in the next few weeks, I may have to discontinue using your platform and inform all my friends and family not to purchase your products, as there is no guarantee that you will not discontinue API support for your own products in the future.

Thank you.

Same here.  Ever since the new authentication system was implemented, I can no longer reliably access my home weather station's information to be used in Tasker.  I constantly get nothing but invalid access token errors.  I'm to the point of never wanting to use Netatmo products ever again.  This is absolutely ridiculous.

It appears Netatmo fixed whatever the backend problem was as the plugin/program I use to communicate with Netatmo started working again. yay! If anyone from the Netatmo could provide more insight at what changed? It would be greatly appreciated.

There have been no code changes to this plugin and I've seen a another user report they rode out this whole thing out without re-installing anything on their system. (Unlike me and a few others who had been trying to debug this.)

    Hello,

I asked the teams : nothing was changed last week, and these changes can't have an impact on third-party service

So, your plugin seems to have "magically" recovered the refresh_token process. Once more, the only way to get an invalid_grant error linked to the refresh process is when the latest generated refresh_token value is not used

    Hello,

I also have a authentication problem. I use Home Assistant for a week. Since yesterday all worked fine.
But suddenly HA didn't get information from my Netatmo weather modules. So I erased the integration of Netatmo to reintegrate it. But the authentication failed. Now I´m not able to integrate Netatmo in my Home Assistant anymore. The error message is: user_rejected_authorize

    Can you help me?

    Hello,

The message "user_rejected_authorize" doesn't come from our server, so I imagine it's generated by HA. But I suppose it means that it can't perform the /authorize request for some reason

Did you try to delete first the link between your installation and HA ? : log in with your Netatmo credentials here : https://home.netatmo.com/ > Parameters > My account > Third-party apps > revoke access to HA

Then, redo the link in your HA interface

    Have a good day,
