No Discovery of Smoke Alarm in Home Assistant
I bought 4 Smart Smoke Alarms with the intention to intergrate the devices in Home Assistant.
It seems that this is not possible allthough there is a Tetatmo integration for other Netatmo devices. Is it possible to do a feature request for this to be added?
There are a lot of people looking this feature.
Thanks

Hello,
As far as I know, you can only activate webhooks via Home Assistant to get notifications in case of an event (https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/netatmo/#webhook-events)
Please note that we are not linked to HA and to their developments. If you need to do an improvement request, you must contact directly their community

Hi Leslie, I think this is request for Netatmo, to actually support controlling a smart smoke alarm with HA or Google assistant? I.e stopping (hush) or starting the alarm, and not just asking the Assistent to fetch a status. Which is not really the most useful feature, compared to being able to use a voice command to hush the alarm when your bacon has gotten a little bit too cooked.

Yes, you can only activate webhooks and those are not really user friendly. I have not get these to work. I would be nice to have the status and other functions of the smoke alarms in an intergration.
Hello,
Indeed, we don't have any way to send orders to the NSD via the 3rd party API
Concerning the webhooks, here are the events sent :
hush
When the smoke detection is activated or deactivated
NSD
smoke
When smoke is detected or smoke is cleared
NSD
tampered
When smoke detector is ready or tampered
NSD
wifi_status
When wifi status is updated
NSD
battery_status
When battery status is too low
NSD
detection_chamber_status
When the detection chamber is dusty or clean
NSD
sound_test
Sound test result
NSD
I forwarded your message to the teams, but I doubt it's planned to add some OFF voice feature
