Hey all, hope you can help. We've recently installed the doorbell (before we knew about the disvontinuation...) and, for the most part, it works as intended.
I have however, not been able to get alexa announcements to work - the skill adds the device I can see the video feed etc. Alas, whenever pressed only the app rings.
We bought this rather than Ring specifically to get the announcements as the house is big and had no pervious doorbell.
Any thoughts? Tried removing, re-adding the skill multiple times, restarting the bell and all other reasonable triage.
I saw the following in our internal documentation, does it help ? (I don't currently have access to an echo device to test)
Receive notifications on one or multiple Echo devices
To have this feature available, the user needs to have the ‘Doorbell Press Announcements’ enabled. To do so, go in the device settings from the Alexa app (‘Devices’ > ‘Cameras’ > select the doorbell > top right setting icon > ‘Announcements’

Hey Lesley - it is enabled and I tested with all/one/some devices. I have a support ticket open for this under 3213040 with the supposed solution being swapping the SD card. I'll try that when it arrives, but I am not filled with confidence - as everything else, as mentioned, works as intended.

Hi again,
I found back my echo dot to perform a test, I confirm that the feature works. I also discussed it with Ali and we confirm that the writing time on your SD card is much higher than normal. It can cause this kind of problems as side effects

Hey Leslie - apologies for the late reply, life got busy. I replaced the SD card and I am still not getting any Echo's in the house announcing the doorbell rings. I have removed and re-added the doorbell (and cameras) again today and will see if this is any better, but anything else worth considering?

Hello,
Did you try to redo your authentication by deleting the Alexa link :
https://home.netatmo.com/ > Parameters > My account > Third-party apps > Revoke Alexa > Go back in Alexa app to redo the linking
