Issue with Netatmo API Access for Energy Products - Home Assistant

pika28

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am reaching out to report a persistent issue with the Netatmo APIs concerning my Energy products, specifically the thermostat and valves, which have been unavailable on Home Assistant for several months despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue.

As a long-time customer, I use your products across all ranges: thermostat, valves, cameras, weather station, and recently the Classe 300EOS intercom. While the surveillance products and the weather station work without any issues, accessing the heating products through Home Assistant remains non-functional.

Here is a detailed summary of the steps I have taken:

- I have configured the integrations with both Home Assistant Cloud and the webhook, following your tutorials. Tokens are generated, and all devices appear in Home Assistant; however, the thermostat and valve entities remain unavailable.
- Despite several re-installations and verification of the webhook, the heating-related entities remain inaccessible, even though I receive Netatmo notifications when I adjust the temperature settings.
- Additionally, I am unable to modify the thermostat settings through the web app (see attached screenshot). I suspect a conflict related to having multiple “homes” registered on my account; three of them are inactive but cannot be removed.
- Notably, my grandmother’s thermostat, linked to a separate Netatmo account that has shared access with mine, works correctly in Home Assistant.

Based on these observations, it appears that the issue is specific to my Netatmo account. I have considered deleting and recreating it, but I sincerely hope you can provide a solution to avoid this complex process.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

    Hello,

First please note that we are not linked to HA or their developments. The tutorials on their website are written by them

"I am unable to modify the thermostat settings through the web app". For this, I invite you to contact directly the Energy support team via contact-energy@netatmo.com

Concerning HA, when some compatible devices don't appear it's generally a user consents problem. Did you tried the following :

    • connect with your Netatmo credentials to https://home.netatmo.com/ > Parameters > My account > Third-party apps > Revoke access to HA
    • reconnect to HA and re-do the authentication process

    Hello,

I know that home assistant is not developed by Netatmo. You provide third-party developers with APIs. They then develop an integration related to these APIs.

Regarding my problem, I have already tried to revoke the access tokens. When I install them again, I select all the tokens and those related to heating are present. As proof, I have access to my grandmother's thermostat. This comes from another netatmo account (another email linked to mine) which authorized me access. That's why I'm pretty sure it's coming from my account.

When I manipulate the thermostat from the iPhone app, it works. I cannot use the thermostat from the web app. Nothing comes up in Home Assistant.

    Hello pika28,

You may have received my answer to the message you sent me via the contact form

I advise you to check what I told you about the scopes rights given to your access_token

I'm still waiting for the developers answer concerning the problem with the webapp

    Have a good day,

Hello, I have already tried to revoke the rights of third-party applications. It does not change anything.

I have two thermostats in my account. The first is at my main home. The second comes from another home (different email) that granted me usage rights. The problem does not come from the access_token since I can control thermostat number 2.
