I thought my original power supply died two weeks ago...
So i bought a new power supply and threw the old one away.
The new power supply rating is 5.3VDC 3.5Amps...
This is more then sufficient...
But I get the error "Insufficient power source"
Maybe the old power supply wasn't dead... It looks more like a software problem in the new firmware...
What is the rating of a "sufficient power supply" according to Netatmo?
The original one was 5Volt 2Amps.
It feels like a software driven problem.
My new power supply does have a display where it shows the voltage and amps going to the camera in addition I put a smart electric meter in the power socket where the power supply is plugged in.
The power drawn from the camera is less the 5 watts.
If the camera would draw 5 Volts and 2 Amps like the old power should supply, then the math would be 10 watts...
What can I do to get rid of the problem?

ENGLISH update I have a Welcome camera (first version) that was giving me power problems. I tried different power supplies but with all of them I received an error saying that the power supply is not original. After a bit of unplugging and replugging the old one continued to work for a while but then I replaced it with an original one and the problem was solved. I think the simplest solution is to buy an original power supply and replace the broken one.
Hi, I've been having this problem on and off for several years. Most recently, this month. I happened to pick up a new unit cheap and set it up with the included 8GB uSD card. My original unit had the dreaded "Insufficient Power Supply" error, which sometimes used to be cured by a reboot, or a reboot after switching off for 10 minutes.... but this time it was stuck on "Insufficient Power Supply". Out of curiosity I put the uSD card from the new unit (once I had set the new unit up and it was working) into the faulty unit, rebooted, and bingo, it sprang back into life with no issues. I put the original old uSD card in the new unit, and ran straight into the "Insufficient Power Supply" issue. So it looks as though it's actually a faulty uSD card that is causing this issue.
I put the 'faulty' uSD card from the original unit into my PC and formatted it (it was a 32GB Sandisk device). It appeared to have a 1GB partition and 29GB partition. After formatting it I put it in the 'faulty' unit and went through the setup process again.... It did not work... So, then I put the uSD card back in the PC and removed ALL the partitions and created a single partition and then formatted it. This 'blank' card I then put back into the faulty unit and went through the setup process again.... Bingo.... it sprang into life.
What I deduce from this is that the uSD card was beginning to fail, which was causing the issue. By removing the partition, creating a new partition and formatting it, the 'faulty' uSD card stopped using the faulty sectors, which then allowed setup and functionality to return to normal in the unit. I assume that the repeated writing of data on the uSD card is causing the eventual slow death. I've just ordered some replacement 32GB uSD cards and replace the now working faulty one when they arrive.
If you're having the same issue, I suggest trying a new uSD card rather than PSU. Just remember that when putting the new card in, you'll have to go through the initial setup up of turning it upside down and setting up the WiFi etc.....
I'd also add that in the process of finding this solution, I went through various PSU's which sometimes randomly worked for a little bit... but the issue always came back
Please comment here if you have success with the above. It's been driving me crazy over the past few years, so it would be nice to know this is actually the solution!!
