we had a netatmo doorbell for 2 years, we had never installed it because of renovations. Yesterday we were happy that we could finally install our beautiful bell.
This went wrong almost immediately. At first we could not register it and we had to do a factory reset. This succeeded and we could then immediately register our bell in the app & in homekit.
The camera
and chime worked perfectly. for 10 minutes. The netatmo app kept reporting that it was still preparing the bell. I suspect that it was doing a firmware update. The image from the camera suddenly stopped and the app indicated that there was no longer a connection to the
internet. which caused the bell to freeze and do nothing. I then removed the bell from my account and homekit to do a reset again but this is no longer possible. If I disconnect the bell from the power for 2 minutes, it continues to start up for a very long time (10 min). The green LED keeps flashing and eventually changes to a red LED. If
I disconnect it from the power again for 2 minutes, it remains the same. After the 3rd attempt, the bell continues to flash green, first quickly, then slowly. The infrared light also continues to burn. This has been going on for 5 hours non-stop. So resetting is no longer possible. It is a great pity that such an expensive bell no longer works after 10 minutes.
What should we do now?. The bell is connected to 12V via USB, which should be sufficient.

Hi, I have similar situation doorbell keeps breathing orange and it’s not possible to register into application.
When resetting to factory setting press ring button together with reset pin and follow instructions for reset.
