Netatmo Thermostat configuration by mac program shows message - check your internet connection

I have had to reinstall my thermostat due to a change of wifi.  It isn't found by the app so I am trying to install it using the mac app however the app shows the message - check your internet connection and doesn't go any further. I have the relay plugged in to my mac via usb cable.

    All the maintenance wizard applications have this issue Module Wizard/Pairing Wizard/etc.
