How to scan and connect a local device on my own app?

dominik.v.cdd

We are planning to build a custom app instead of the `Control` app using the Netatmo Auth2.0.

Beside of displaying data of customer's home, we also want to able to scan and connect new devices on my own app directly. But we have checked the Netatmo APIs documentation and there aren't any APIs/instructions supporting this kind of function.

Is there any ways to connect a new device on my own app like 'Control' app?

    Hello Dominik,

We don't provide any local API as our communications are only Cloud based

For Home + Control devices (switches/plugs solution) they can be managed in ZigBee 3.0 mode via a zigbee hub in the user's installation. But I don't know if it could fit your need. The documentation is here : https://developer.legrand.com/local-interoperability/#How%20it%20works

Thank Mr. Leslie for your response.

Using Zigbee hub is a complex process, and we still keep using the Netamo database and APIs. I just want to `create home` and `add product` on my own app, but it seems impossible if not use `Control` app and APIs (no supporting APIs or webhook mechanism). Whether will you support this functions in future?

    Hi Dominik,

OK, I better understand the question The commissioning of user's devices can only be done via the Netatmo's native apps. There is no way to do it via a public API endpoint and it's not planned to open this feature to 3rd party developers

Once they registered their installation in our app, they can delete it and only use a 3rd party app
