Webhook heavily delayed
Hi!
currently playing around with Home Assistant and successfully registered the Webhook.
But the webhook events are received around 3 minutes after the doorbell was triggered, which is absolutely unacceptable for a doorbell.
I tested my webhook url from external manually and the average response time was 300ms for the call.
So i'm pretty sure the issues is not on my side.
Anything i can do to debug this? Is this a known/accepted issue of the API?

Hi, same issue here. I even had to wait more than 5 minutes yesterday. The problem exists since about two month. Before the notifications came within a few seconds. Now i have to wait at least 1 minute
Same issue here. Annoying!
Same here. Was thinking was coming from my infra. Glad to see I’m not an isolated case
Same here since 5th May in the morning.
Often a delay between 1-2 minutes! … I also noticed that the JSON payload is incomplete for humans and vehicles, only for pets it is complete.
I already informed Netatmo but for now without much useful replies.
My 2 presence outdoor cameras are pretty useless if I can react on an event which is 1-2 minutes old 🤮
In the worst-case scenario, the burglar will be gone by then.
If they don’t fix it, I have to buy some new outdoor cameras, but from INSTAR for example. Those devices support local LAN access with MQTT, pretty much better than this stuff from Netatmo.
Same issue here. I have tried two different webhook setups, and they are both virtually useless with these delays.
well, Netatmo doesn't give a shit on it 🤮
It's time to switch to something that works and kick those Netatmo devices out of my house.
Hello all,
Sorry for the late answer, it took time for the teams to investigate and perform tests. We indeed noticed delays on the 3rd party webhooks component. Despite a huge scale-up of the service, the situation is not better
There is a ongoing rework project for webhooks (including the ones sent from our native apps) to improve the stability. Unfortunately, I don't have more information about an availability date for this
Have a good day,

Same problem here. Hope you can fix this soon.
Hello @Leslie, do you know more about a possible date when the service will be operational? This significantly alters the role of your cameras in certain infrastructures.
Bonjour,
Je suis dans le même cas, avec des délai pouvant aller à plusieurs minutes.
Merci d'avance aux équipes Netatmo de progresser rapidement sur le sujet :)
Hello all,
The rework project of webhooks began last week. Unfortunately, I don't have for now more information about the release date

I hope you find a solution. Unfortunately, I had to double the monitoring with another brand in order to have better responsiveness.
I hope they implement a LOCAL Webhook functionality so we don't have to rely on the netatmo api anymore.
Every homeautomation has a lot of working solution like direct HTTP, MQTT,...
Please implement the interface and a lot of problems are solved...
Do you have any good news to share with us regarding the correction of the latency issue?
Good evening,
I'm having the same problem. I'm experiencing latency of over 5 minutes, which renders my NETATMO Presence cameras useless. I hope you find a solution, otherwise I'll switch to cameras from another company. It's a shame to see the quality of your products deteriorate.
Yes, pretty useless since months. Netatmo became a playground for children, I can‘t find other words.
Well …
Since almost half a year w/o a solution is kinda „dear customers, we shit on you at all“.
If I were the boss of Netatmo, I would have released new firmware that also supports MQTT after a maximum of one week of such problems. That would have solved almost all of the issues and even added a pretty cool feature. But no, they've been fighting tooth and nail for years (anyone wonders why?)
Instead, customers stuck with this stupid VPN tunnel to Netatmo. No wonder that this and the route to it are vulnerable, and that flooding everything with packets would cause everything to stop working.
In any case, I can no longer take the company seriously, and certainly not its products at that price: expensive toys, nothing else.
What have we learned? Never buy security products that rely on the internet and a company cloud, they are doomed to fail.
Hey Netatmo
May I send you the bill for the now needed camera replacement? You destroyed the service I had bought with the camera. I will need an electrician to do the exchange.
I'd expect this to cost 500 to 1000 Euro.
Deal?
Can anyone advise on replacements? Please with local api access directly to the device.
Hi Netatmo, any update on the webhook refactor?
Any update to share Leslie?
This issue is running quite long
@Netatmo,
Any news about the rework of webhooks ?
Informing customers is easy but seems to be hard for Netatmo.
Last update is made 3 months ago. I’m considering a replacement by UniFi
Hello,
Hard on my side to get infos from the teams on that topic. The good news is that they really understood the problem for 3rd party users (a part of the project documentation is dedicated to fixing/testing this). But I still don't know when the rework will be effective in Production
Have a good day,

Hahahahahahahahahaha 🤣😂😤🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
This is just ridiculous, Netatmo is ridiculous.
Everyone: buy a camera from INSTAR:
- great support
- MQTT connection
- full LAN/WLAN access to the device
And just forget about this ridiculous company called Netatmo.
Thanks for the hint. Looks like after 8 months of waiting it is time to give up.
It’s really a shame, because Netatmo solutions offer a very good user experience through the application.
While the services were initially delivered very well, I have been going from one disappointment to another over the past few months, with:
the end of support and the removal from sale of the Netatmo doorbell,
the webhook service, which now has disastrous response times, with a response delay of up to 2 minutes observed today, whereas it used to be almost instantaneous.
Is there a real intention to continue evolving and improving the products, or is Netatmo simply going to withdraw the Netatmo Presence from sale as was done with the doorbell?
After five years with Netatmo cameras, I finally realised that they no longer suited my needs. I'm going to replace everything and switch to a competitor.
I don't understand Netatmo's policy, but they'll have to continue without me.
I've already bought two Reolink cameras, which are incredibly easy to set up and install, unlike the Presence cameras, which were a nightmare. They detect movement from all angles with incredible responsiveness and no false alarms, they integrate really well with Jeedom. I have absolutely no regrets about my choice;
