Rain Gauge Overreporting 2 to 2.5x: Stuck at 3mL Calibration Limit

jaipuria

I’m using a Netatmo rain gauge, and I've noticed that it's consistently reporting significantly higher rainfall than nearby official weather stations. For example, on a recent day it recorded 170mm, while local stations reported 75–100mm.

My calibration is already set to the maximum allowed value of 3mL, but over time I’ve seen that my cumulative rainfall is consistently about 2 to 2.5 times higher than official data.

Has anyone faced this issue before? Is there a workaround to calibrate beyond 3mL, or should I consider resetting the device entirely?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
