Suggestion: Remove or Restrict the "Monitoring" Switch from the Main Screen
Hello everyone,
I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the Monitoring switch for cameras.
Currently, this switch is very prominent on the home screen, and I believe it could cause issues for some users. My concerns are:

It is safe to assume that most people who install cameras want them to actively monitor their home.

For less tech-savvy users, it is very easy to unintentionally disable monitoring, which completely defeats the purpose of having cameras.

Ideally, there should be an option to restrict which users are allowed to enable/disable monitoring.

Alternatively, this feature could be made optional on the home screen, or at least require a confirmation step such as: “Are you sure you want to disable monitoring?”.
The goal of this suggestion is to make the app more user-friendly, especially for those who are less comfortable with technology. Based on my personal experience, accidental disabling of cameras unfortunately happens more often than expected.
What do you think? Would this be a useful improvement for other users as well?

The monitoring button can be switched off when perhaps gardening/ lawn mowing / car washing activities occur otherwise you will have repeated notifications- just remember to activate it after .
Access to the app can be limited - I don't know if there is a 2 step verification option
I just checked and there is an option to set a code to switch off monitoring so if you are worried you can do that
Can you help me find this setting?
Use the app ( security ) and select the cogwheel icon
Then select Manage my Home - Outdoor
Select the location eg Home
Then at the bottom under " configuration" you will see "settings" ( again !)
This will open up a page with 3 options :
Rotate image
Sound
Code - slide button to on if you want the app to ask for a code each time the monitoring is turned off
