Setting Up the Smart Moduling Thermostat

raoulenlucrisia

Hi everyone,
A few months ago, we moved into a house equipped with the Netatmo Smart Modulating Thermostat. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to connect the thermostat to the Home + Control app. The problem seems to be with linking the relay to the app. I'm receiving the notification that the accesoire couldn't be found and that there was a pairing error. During the installation/connecting of the Smart Moduling Thermostat I also got a notification that the WiFi I was using was 5GHz and that it should be 2.4 GHz. However I have a smart WiFi system and I'm not allowed to split the WiFi into 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

Does anyone have ideas to fix this? Thanks in advance

Same problem. Would love to use your system, but it's a real struggle to install it...

Hi everyone, I got my setup fixed last night:

I used an old WiFi extender I had lying around to create a new acces point (a new WiFi SSID). Made sure it sent only on 2.4 bandwidth.

I connected my phone to that WiFi network and deleted ("made it forget") my other networks. That way, when I use the app to connect to the WiFi sent out by the thermostat, after that connection is made, it can only go back to the WiFi I had set up. The 2.4 one.

This seems to have done the trick. The setup is completed.

    Hi All,

I haven't fixed this yet. Unfortunately I'm not able to split my current WiFi setup into 5.0 and 2.4 bandwidth. Seems to be an excessive solution to setup a new WiFi with 2.4 to solve this?
