Hove to get HomeKit Code when there isn't one on old Netatmo relay
Hi,
I have several years old Netatmo Thermostat which I completely deleted from my account when I was trying to reconnect it to new wi-fi. When I was trying to install it again I ended on the step "Prepare your HomeKit code" because there is no code on my old Relay. I even have old manual and the box but there are just bar codes and no QR codes. I even tried to input codes I have manually but they include letters but mobile app allows to input only numbers.
So I'm lost now. How can I install my Relay and Thermostat without HomeKit code when I have old device?

Hi Dan,sorry I haven’t got an answer for you.
That’s because I have exactly the same issue you are having.
I get to prepare your HomeKit code then press continue but it comes up with error after a few minutes.
Exactly the same problem so I am unable to connect to the new Home & Connect Netatmo app. Anyone know what to do about this ? Thanks !
same problem - no way how to connect - winter coming and we are unable to use our equipment - LEGRAND help !
I was told by email from Netatmo what to do but it wasn’t any good for me.This page doesn’t allow photos so I will rewrite what was sent to me.
When pairing the thermostat to HomeKit,the HomeKit pairing code is automatically displayed on the thermostat screen(instead of the temperature.)
To proceed with the association,you must initially have installed & connected the thermostat to your Wi-Fi network.
The HomeKit pairing procedure is normally an integral part of the installation process of the IOS Energy application.If this step was not performed during the first installation,it is possible to do it afterwards.
To do so, please follow this procedure.
-go to the settings of the Energy application on your IOS device(“gear” icon in the upper left corner.)
-go to the menu”manage my home”
-click on the relay button
-click on the “configure HomeKit button”
The instructions are then displayed on the screen.
You will need to capture the code displayed on the thermostat screen with the camera of your smartphone or tablet.
It is not possible to do the HomeKit association from the Apple home app,it is mandatory to use the Netatmo Energy application.

I’d like to point out that my thermostat hasn’t displayed the temperature even after changing the batteries so obviously I was never going to see my HomeKit code which leaves me with a problem.
Can someone who knows about these things get me fully connected to my new Wi-Fi so I can operate from my phone if they can’t themselves get at the HomeKit code for my individual code.
I hope this helps & would be interested if anybody has similar issues like nothing(temperature settings)appearing on their thermostat.
Thank you for this information but when I click on the Energy app I don’t have ‘configure HomeKit button’ no matter where I go in the app
Click on manage my home
-click on your room(living room)
-click on thermostat
-click on gateway
Then you should see configure HomeKit.
But I’m not getting anything from that.
I don’t have ‘gateway’ when I have clicked on Thermostat

It will give instructions how to set up.
If you can’t manage from there go back to top & click on magnifying glass & tell them your problem.
They will get back to you by email.
I’ve done all that & still can’t get my HomeKit code.
I asked if they had people in my area to sort it out for a fee.Was told not anymore.Only in France as it’s a French product.Looks like I’m going to have to get somebody who knows about these things but not sure how they’re going to get my code.
