Android app unable to connect

I just replaced my Android phone with a new model.  While I can still access my weather station with the old phone, the same Netatmo Weather app on my new phone says, "cannot connect to server" when I try log in.  I'm using the same credentials as I used to access this web site, so I assume they are good.  This has been going on for two days now and there is no published report of server issues.
