About the battery life: don't trust the empty indicator on the valve. If you use good quality batteries it's worth to check them again yourself, mine are usually still good enough for a second tour...

here the same problem - displays of my 2 eldest valves start to fail after 5 years - I fear it's the tech used that not withstands aging... The valves do appear to be still functional in the Energy...
