Smart window sensors constantly shows "Calibration fails"
Smart window sensors constantly shows "Calibration fails"; even deleting and reconnecting them (I tried multiple times) do not help. It affects 2 out of 9 installed sensors, all others are working like intended.
What can I do?

Same problem also for me. Now I'm trying the strategy of performing constantly calibration...hoping that the sensors will get tired before me :)
One of my six sensors also has this problem. Calibrated it many times over the past couple of weeks, but fails every time. I have removed and replaced the batteries to reset it so many times that the battery cover has broken as well. Tried to contact Netatmo but no reply yet.
Has anyone solved the issue?
My fear is, that then there is a sensor issue and they need to be replaced. I never could find a way of „hard reset“. I don‘t know, if this community is being monitored (sic!) by Netatmo and we get an expert advise. The manual wasn‘t very exhaustive nor is it the FAQ.
Same problem, I hope someone help us to fix it issue
I got this reply:
Remove the batteries from the concerned sensor until it appears "disconnected" in your application.
Then please unplug your camera for one minute before plugging it back in. Once the camera is operational again, turn OFF the monitoring of the concerned camera then place the batteries back into the sensor and perform a new calibration attempt.
If the calibration keeps failing, I would then recommend to reset the sensor:
Once done, to reinstall your sensor, feel free to move the camera close to the sensor rather than removing the sensor from its support.
The first stage worked for me, so I did not have to do a full reinstall.
Hope that helps.
Hi mpchurchill,
I did step you tell, and the two sensors that were not working, by now they are alive again. TVM. Really the comments help to solve some small issues.
Regards.
No luck for me trying the steps described above by mpchurchill.
I tried it several times, adding the sensor to both cameras that I run - no difference. The sensor just cannot be calibrated successfully.
Any other hints from anybody ?
