Hard Reset doesn't work -Netatmo Welcome Indoor Cam

martin.wielgus

Hello,
I am having difficulties resetting my Netatmo Indoor Cam to factory settings.
For now, here is a list of everything I have tried:
1. left camera unpowered overnight
2. connected the camera to power the next day
3. turned the camera upside down when prompted by the setup wizard
4. LED lights up green continuously, app asks whether the device lights up blue or green, I confirm "green"...
5. A short time later, an error message appears saying that the device cannot be found and "try again"

Again briefly disconnected from the power supply and the whole game starts again from point 2, except that this time I removed the SD card. Unfortunately, the behavior of the camera does not change, it continues to light up green.

I even formatted the SD card and tried again, the LED remains permanently green, neither blue nor red
Any ideas what else I can try?

KR
Martin

    Hi,

I too have the same problem. The camera has been working fine for a year or so, but now it suddenly got stuck with a constant green indicator light. Turning it upside down does not change the constant green light as it supposed to do. I too would appreciate ides to how this can be solved.

    Hi All,

I've mailed with the support team to find a solution. Unfortunately in my case the cam is defective. Nothing helped.

    You can try this steps:

    Hello Martin,

    Thank you for your message.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your Netatmo devices.

Could you please remove the SD card, connect the camera directly to the router with the Ethernet cable and try again the set up from a computer?

When you configure the Indoor Camera with a computer, the camera is not connected to the power adapter. It is only connected to the computer using the provided USB cable (USB to micro-USB). Do not turn the camera upside down

Once the installation is complete, please reconnect the camera to its power supply making sure to leave the camera connected to the Ethernet, reinsert the SD Card and then come back to me.

If the installation fails, I would appreciate if you could send me a screenshot of any error message you get.

    I thank you in advance.

    Edgar

Hi everyone ! I’ve got this exact same problem and it happened last evening. This camera has been working fine for two years and suddenly around 9PM it started lightening the green led continuously. Since then, I have followed just like all of you the instructions, but nothing works. LED still green, no connection.

I can't remember the security pin code to access my camera. Until recently everything was regular. I don't know how to reactivate the unlock and lock of the camera

I ran into the same issue.  One Welcome camera out of many Indoor and Outdoor cameras that's been working for a year suddenly shows only a solid red light and isn't accessible.  When I use the MacOS installer and connect with the micro-USB cable, the camera shows solid Green for several seconds, then flashes Red once, and finally turns solid Red.  The Netatmo Setup Wizard just shows a spinning wheel and "Please check your internet connection."  However my laptop's connection is fine and the camera is connected via an ethernet cable to the router.

Tried re-doing things multiple times and also tried turning it upside down.  Nothing works.  Any next steps?

    Hi everyone!
To let you know of a good news. Netatmo deployed a firmware update this July for our indoor camera. So I hoped that by connecting the camera to both the Ethernet and power cable it would eventually download the firmware and reboot the camera.
I confirm it happened maybe after a week or so leaving the camera on and connected.
I was finally able to set it up again.
    Everything works fine now.
Many thanks for this salvior update. 🙏🏻

I have a similar issue, Netatmo Welcome doesn't want to connect to Wifi. I have tried everything they've suggested, incl. connecting directly through a USB cable or connecting with a network cable, but nothing works.

I have the same problem. How can I come in contact with the support? Any solution? Does connecting the camera with ethernet cable work? Is it updating firmware that way?
