No response from anemometer

mailbox

My anemometer hasn't been working all summer. Ever since I got it, it's been hit or miss if it shows up in the app or if I get the "can't connect" error.

I finally got up onto the roof to change the batteries to see if that would do the trick, but not only does it not show up in the app with fresh batteries, but I don't even see a blinking LED when I insert the new ones.

Is there a way to reset it or to test if it's even alive or not?

I completely understand the problems with the windspeed unit. Occasionally it stops. Two years ago I had to buy a new one. The previous set was only a couple of years old.
For some reason the unit ( design) isnot reliable

I have just purchased a new smart anemometer, and have the same problem. No blinking LED, cannot connect. Tech support has not responded to my ticket yet. Is it worth getting a replacement Netatmo, or should I just look for a completely different smart product from a different manufacturer?

Struggling with wind gauge after battery change. Won't connect again. No LED light when setting new batteries. See others struggling with the same thing. Never any answers here, so you can read up to be able to get things sorted. Netatmo is expensive, and should last longer. Already bought a new outdoor unit
