My new raingauge also drain my batteries much faster than my old one:

Netatmo located a problem in my rain gauge. I returned the gauge to the reseller and got my money back. A couple of weeks later I a got a new gauge (cheaper than the returned one). I asked Netatmo to check the gauge and it seems to work OK. Excellent service
Same problem here, battery of the outdoor module is drained within 1-2 weeks. First set lasted about 1,5 months. Since then, every 1-2 weeks a new battery set needed.
Seems to be an old but frequent issue that Netatmo is unable to solve.
In my case this was an hardware issue. Contacted support and Netatmo replaced the module free of charge. Now battery last more than 1 years👍
