recording video without internet connection

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have 2 Netatmo cameras that have been working well. Unfortunately, shortly before my holiday, the AccessPoint was defective, so the cameras were no longer online. During this time I was burgled. I read on the Internet that the cameras were still recording. I have now removed the SD card from the camera and wanted to view the videos and hand them over to the police. However, the data seems to be encrypted. Alternatively, I have also tried using Linux. Can you tell me how I or the police can access the video data? The police have already signalled that they are seriously interested.
