cameras connected to apple HomeKit and work perfectly
Even for smoke alarm
But not possible to get them connected via netatmo security iOS app
Error code 0097-00002
Works fine with smoke alarm
I‘m having the same issue and tried the chat function on the website. After spending 20 minutes with the chat bot it was said that I‘m going to be connected to a service employee. I waited for another 20 minutes and nothing happened.
The service is from another world, but who needs happy costumers that might recommend the products to other potential customers.

Hi,
I have the same issue. Can someone please respond so i can get this resolved.
I am trying to connect to my new wifi hub and get the same exact error code. I read you have placed a lock on the firmware to stop stolen devices being used. Can you unlock?

Forgive me for stating the obvious but if you haven't completed an online help request ticket - please do so
( also try messaging the team on Twitter).
Doubtful if you will get any response from here as this is a community site where people just vent their frustration as there are seldom any answers .
( Please have a read through on this forum and Reddit in case there might be a solution)
Please note that the netatmo Siren does not work with homekit ( unless they fixed an update ) . You just got to use the ios netatmo security app .
You have to make sure your mobile is on the 2.4 band not 5
( or maybe you could try renaming your new broadband wifi as your old one .....not actually sure if that could work? )
Hope you get it fixed 🙏

Oooh thank you for your response pattie7459, however I have done all of the things you have suggested.
As far as I can see there is no other way to log issues so I am following the protocols that I am finding via netatmo’s ‘help’ sections…and also Google

…the product is junk let’s be fair, I’m just trying to make my home secure and recoup some of the heavy cost I pad out investing in them

A shame everyone feels like this . All it needs is a dedicated person or AI algorithm to work out what is going on. It's the uncertainty of a response or resolution that is so frustrating. Maybe we should complain to the CEO or shareholders to get something sorted .
I am still very pleased with the functionality of my old original floodlight .
I use it to spy on local wildlife running across the drive ( deer badgers foxes hedgehogs rabbits ) plus I can monitor visitors to my door .
The real bonus is that it is subscription free plus still records when the wifi is disconnected.

To connect your Netatmo floodlight to a new broadband network, reboot your router and smartphone, then use the Home + Security app to re-run the setup for the product. Ensure your smartphone is on a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, and if there are multiple access points, assign a unique SSID to each.
If the camera still fails to connect, check advanced settings like WPA2/WPA3 compatibility, MAC filtering, and consider a simpler Wi-Fi password.
Basic setup steps
Restart everything: Reboot your Wi-Fi router and your smartphone.
Power cycle the floodlight: Unplug the floodlight's power for a few seconds, then plug it back in. It should turn on briefly.
Start the installation process: Open the Home + Security app, go to Settings > Install new products, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Connect to the correct network: Make sure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as the floodlight is not compatible with other frequencies.
Troubleshooting common issues
Multiple Wi-Fi access points: If you have a repeater, booster, or extender, give it a unique name (SSID) that is different from your main router.
App issues: If problems persist, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Netatmo Home + Security app on your smartphone.
QR code problems: If the camera doesn't scan the QR code, try varying the distance and ensure the code is well-lit. If this fails, and the floodlight doesn't turn on, there may be a hardware issue with the SD card. A new card may be needed.
Advanced network troubleshooting
Security protocol: Check your router's settings to ensure it's set to WPA2 or WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode, as Netatmo devices can only connect using WPA2.
MAC filtering: Make sure MAC filtering isn't enabled on your router, or add the floodlight's MAC address to the allowed list.
VPN Passthrough: If your router has it, try enabling "VPN Passthrough" and "IPsec Passthrough".
Access restrictions: Disable any parental controls or other access restrictions on your router.
Router firmware: Update your router to the latest firmware version.
Simpler password: Try using a Wi-Fi password without special characters.
Router sleep function: If your router has a sleep function, disable it.
