How long is the time line?
I have several camera's and a doorbell. I've connected them with Apple iCloud, is it correct that I can only look back for two days? Thought it would be longer.
And another question; something happend outside my house. The doorbell only filmed 40 seconds, is it possible to create a longer film? Or can you get something out of the cloud or sd-card?

I cannot comment on apple homekit as I do not use this however there is a way of changing the storage of videos from default of 3 months .
The timeline is possibly affected by resets , prolonged disconnects or switching SD cards .
As for recording duration , defaults might be 40 seconds but if activity continues then the maximum I have seen is 2 minutes . If the target is no longer in the recording area then the recording stops
I believe if you set up recording in high definition in HomeKit - it’s ‘30 seconds’ , but if you record in standard , then it’s longer ‘ 60sec ‘ ( according to Reddit discussions )
Okay, thanks for your answer. I see now that video's in Homekit stay there for 10 days. I don't see the option of 3 months in the app of Netatmo.
I was hoping you could dive in the time stream afterwards and get extra video's out of there.
The video I recorded was with the doorbell and the door Bella can't connect with Apple secure video...
On the Netatmo app select [advanced settings] -[alert & record settings] - [smart settings] - [delete old events] - here you have option to change from 48 hrs to 6 months
“ As long as you have a camera installed, the video will be kept in the timeline for up to 6 months if the video is stored on the memory card “
“With or without a camera the video can be stored on the timeline from 48 hrs to 6 months “.
( I deleted my HomeKit app as it was messing with an installation at another place - after reading some posts on Reddit . The siren floodlight does not work with HomeKit according to Reddit users )
