Erratic contact with outside module

I have had the weather station for several years now. After changing the batteries (twice to be sure) the outside weather module cuts the connection every now and then. Its location has been the same for a few years and is located beside the anemometer and rain gauge. These work fine. Outside module serial no. h3f1e0e.

The daily graps shows the cut offs, but sometimes the weekly graph shows a continuous graph. Calculated value?

All instruments purchased at the same time and used in our summer cottage.

Is the outside module at the end of its lifecycle??
