I am disappointed - after 10 years of use
After 10 years of using Presense cameras, I've become increasingly disappointed. With each update, it gets worse. With each update after 3.13.0, camera detection gets worse and worse. My cameras are always in the same place, and more and more events are missing. The app constantly has trouble loading event thumbnails, and the long app load time discourages me from using Netatmo products. The live view also takes a long time to start, and the app lacks basic features like filtering events by date and event type. It's difficult to use the app when there are eight of them. Apps from other manufacturers work much better, just like their devices, and they're much cheaper. It's a shame about Netatmo.

I totally agree, I have also been using Netatmo products for many years, both weather station and Presence cameras. This year especially the cameras live streams have not worked as before, and currently both my Presence cameras are only registering events, fetching event videos and live feeds do not work at all. I have not changed anything in my router setup, still using ASUS mesh with AX92u routers. When I try to reconfigure the WiFi, it connects to my local network and gets an IP, but then times out during configuration settings phase.
I completely agree. We had 2 intruders go through our garden (they were running from police so thankfully did not break into anything). It only triggered 2 out of 5 of our cameras! Despite evidence that they were right in front of each one. This type of thing needs to be reliable or the whole thing is useless. We are looking to change to a camera that takes continuous recordings. Also frustrated that with the 2 cameras that did activate, the notification sound didn’t wake us up. I don’t know why there isn’t an option to change to something like a continuous alarm that I have to switch off.
The saddest thing is that I've stopped trusting my cameras and treat them as a supplement to another monitoring system. According to my observations, everything started going wrong since Legrand acquired Netatmo. Notifications arrive up to 10 minutes after an incident... so how is this supposed to protect my property?
A real shame as my cam is still working well but there is a delay when trying to watch a live view
I used to have all sorts of issues when my broadband was 3-11 mbs with camera frequently disconnecting . ( am out in the sticks ! )
It then stopped recording until I changed the micro SD card to a faster version , then it worked pretty well for some years especially with 200 mbs fibre broadband
....until we had a power cut when it went offline / dead .
I could not reset it nor reboot it etc etc and resorted to purchasing a new camera which is still unopened as my old camera suddenly came back to life after 3 weeks
I use it to monitor my cat in the evenings....I change animals to "record and notify" and it sends a loud whoop / notification which allows me to jump up and run and open the front door before he has a chance to walk around to the side gate which involves more effort on my part.
I then need to toggle off the record and notify for animals otherwise I will get constantly buzzed when other wildlife pass by .
Check settings - sounds - and adjust the volume ( which will not be affected when you toggle the sound buttons up or down )
If an intruder passes through but leaves the area then only one alert will be heard unfortunately.
I supplement with additional cams that are wireless and easy to place on the ground / or on a fence tree or wall and do not require a subscription ....just blink
I am really happy with the product.
LAG
Yes there is lag but I knew what I was getting into.
CLOUD
When the cloud goes down so does my system and that is really unfortunate.
I would like to at least control my lights in some other way.
SD CARDS
I've had to replace at least 3+ SD cards over 4 years but the hardest part was just analysing what the problem was before just switching out the 32gb class 10 in the bottom.
NO SUBSCRIPTION
That was a big selling point for me.

At one point I could not add my camera because of some technical reason but I went on the forum and they helped.

API
that plays all my camera on one screen. this just makes me want to get another set. i want to in the end to be able to cast this view on a TV or two.
But other than that I just used the API to build a Unity EXE
Perhaps have them alert on screen when motion detected etc.
In the end I think it's just a toy for boys and it does give me a sense of security and alerts me of activity in my environment that I would not get without them.
Poor selection of tools in the app, lag that is present with live view, poor sound recording, detection not working always even though light turns on… its IOT do better netatmo
Sad to say old presence camera has gone offline again ( after the electrician switched off the mains to check something on the fuse box which now needs changing ).
I am loathe to install my new presence with siren that I purchased when the old one went offline ( partly because the electrician has to come back and install a new fuse board ) .
Whilst I wait for a new QR code from helpdesk , I have installed a solar S120 eu fy camera with siren as a temporary measure ( also subscription free , currently on offer £57 and great video quality ; though limited by solar charge it can be removed and charged with USB wire ) .
I don't know if my old faithful presence has died or us just playing up like it did earlier in the year - going offline for 3-4 weeks ....I think it's because my router is using 5GHz instead of 2.4 GHz band that I can't connect , or the old QR codes are no longer readable
