"There is no application corresponding to this id" error when trying to log in

Hello,

on September 22 and today, users reported that they get the error "There is no application corresponding to this id" when trying to log in to the Netatmo account in my app Weather Status.

Was there are general server problem that causes this?

Or could this be a rate limit I'm hitting with my app? It's an iPhone app and a lot of users seem to be moving to a new iPhone, so maybe there were so many login attempts that a rate limit was hit? 

On September 23, users could log in again.

In case this is indeed a rate limit problem: these are all legitimate login attempts, what can I do?

    Hi Alexander,

    It was indeed a problem on our side on the /authorize endpoint and solved the 23 in the morning. It's not linked at all to rate limits or other things related to 3rd party APIs. In case of a rate limits reached, we send a 429 "quota reached" error code. It's generally well interpreted by 3rd party integrators
