Hi Jennifer,
What worked for me is:
- make WiFi 2.4ghz only, or setup a separate network (guest network)
- press the button on the relay
- on your phone or laptop: look for a WiFi network called something like Netatmo relay bridge.
A configuration screen will pop up, enabling you to connect the relay to the desired network.

Hi, I have installed a new thermostat box and a new relay. The thermostat box is operating the boiler, however I cannot connect my phone to be able control the heating from my smartphone. I receive a message saying the relay is unreachable. Your help will be appreciated.

So to be clear, the thermostat is wired to your boiler and is able to regulate the temperature?
When you press the button on the bottom of the relay until it blinks, open WiFi settings on your phone and connect to a network called something like “Netatmo relay bridge”, what happens?
Ive been trying for months now to reconnect to my thermostat for months. Ive tried every possible solution but now luck. Not happy at all
I have a similar issue, in my app it give the error, but i can see on my router software that it is connected and my apple homekit can control it
