Cannot setup my device
Hello,
I am trying to setup my new Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitor, but not matter what I tried I keep getting "Could not get firmware info" which prompts me to retry. I connected with my phone on my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network but no luck.
I tried my 5GHz WiFi, I tried my phone network, I reset the device and retried but still no success. Unfortunately, I don't have a usb-c to usb-micro data cable and I don't would rather not spend extra money for buying one.
Could you please help me out?
Thank you in advance!

Hello, I just buy 2 devices from amazon and i have the same behavior for both.
I tried also with wifi 2.4gh and 5gh - the same result.
Also tried from android and apple - the same.
I solved after download windows app and reinstall the firmware.

Could you perhaps explain what next? I downloaded the file but don't know how to get it to work. And do I just connect the homecoach to USB?
Indeed, download the file on a windows pc/laptop and connect the smartindoor device with an usb cable.
Run the file downliaded and follow the steps - that will rewrite the firmware.
Thanks, it worked! Only thing is I can't change the default name of the device. But I can live with that :)
You can change device name in the app/settings/advanced settings after doing above procedure
Thank you for the comments! Eventually I was able to update the installer for MacBook. The only problem I had is that I didn't have an appropriare usb cable to connect to my laptop. It would be nice if it is included in the package.
NetatmoWizard_Windows.exe does not work, doesn’t find the device.
I have 2 other Smart Indoor Air Quality Monitors that work fine. Last week one got disconnected from the app. Reconfigure and reset didn’t help. I bought another one, but that one has the same problem ("Could not get firmware info").
I have the same issue with NetatmoWizard_Windows.exe
I have tried on two PCs and although using a USB Cable, the laptop does not find the device. I can see that the device is on (blinking). Is there anything to do to make the laptop recognizing the device?
Update: problem solve. Bought a cheap new usb-micro cable and it worked instantly with the wizard.
The micro-usb cables i had laying around where not made for data apparently.
Worked for me as well - I tried 3 different USB-microUSB cables and worked finally with the third one. Then it was easy not only to upgrade the firmware but also to configure the device (WiFi, account info etc.). No need to use the mobile phone. In the app then everything appeared working fine under my account.
