Weather station and outdoor station short connectivity range

I just purchased the weather station and the outdoor sensor, however the connectivity range is very short, in the order of few meters … when I read the user manual, it states that walls reduce signal strength, but it’s impossible to have no walls between the indoor station and outdoor sensor! Is there another connectivity option? Can the connectivity range be improved? I wonder if the outdoor sensor only few meters away does not connect, how could the wind sensor connect to the master station from the roof??
