Image detection

How dare you roll this out without consent. I was told I needed to complete my setup. Only to find this was to improve image detection and it would upload my camera images to you. There was no option not to consent. When I hit Later, you took that as approval and turned the feature on. You hid the setting deep in the settings so it wasn’t obvious to find. This is truly the worst abuse of privacy I have experienced from a smart home product. I shall never trust you again.

    First, we would like to reassure you, privacy and data protection are at the core of our company. 

    I have made the test several times and each time when clicking on "Later", the consent box remains unticked. I think you have pressed on "I agree" button by mistake, as it is just below the "Later" button.

    You can of course withdraw your consent at any time, to do so, please follow these steps: My account > Improvement programs > Improve camera detection.

    I naturally remain available if you have other questions.
