Floodlight intermittantly flashes instead of being "on"

My outdoor camera is starting to show some odd behaviour...

About 80% of the time when the floodlight is switched on (be that via movement detection, manauly in the app or via an API call) it doesn't come on correclty. It will flicker on and off, as if the lamp is trying to come on and then failing. It reminds me of the way an old fluorescent tube would flicker when the starter was failing. 

Is this something that can be fixed?
