Smart Video Doorbell- discontinued ? Completed

Hi,

Your website states that the doorbell is no longer for sale. Does this mean that the product has been discontinued ?

If the answer is yes, will it be replaced by a new product and if so when ?

    Hi,

    The Netatmo Smart Video Doorbell was not deemed sufficiently successful for us to continue offering it.
    Netatmo wishes to focus its efforts on other product categories that better meet the needs of its customer base 🙂

    Nothing will change for existing Doorbell users. They can continue to use their product as normal and will receive regular security updates from Netatmo for 5 years from the marketing end date.

    5 years and after this time the door bell will be trash? Damn. If I would have known before I actually would have spend my money with some other company. Not happy to hear this. Maybe it would be better to go for some open source, so at least your customers can maintain what they have.

    How do I get support for this doorbell? The video recording systematically fails - even after replacing SD cards with the right hi performance types. The delivery of your replacement SD promised in a previous support ticket was never delivered . Rebooting the doorbell also does not help .
    Please recommend how to get this fixed.

    Not fit for purpose. I wish I had done more research before investing over £1000 in all of Netatmo's products, none of which work as they should. Utter trash!

    Thank you! This time, SD well received out of the France office. Replacing and resealing did fix the recording issue. Smart doorbell is operational again. Thank you!

    Netatmo support response regarding the support end date:

    "The doorbell will receive regular security and maintenance updates until March 2029"

    I am happy with this long time frame for support, sad the doorbell won't have a new version it seems however good on netatmo for the long term commitment. Thank you.

    I don't need security updates an update with bugfixes would be nice, I have almost all bugs which should be fixed with the last update but it's still the same.
