The "bip" you hear during the sound test is not the same as when smoke is detected.
The loudspeaker on the detector is meant to be used at full power. In order to protect your ears during the sound test, we only use a limited amount of power, so it might struggle during the sound test. However, please be assured that your speaker is fully functional and will sound correctly in case of smoke detection.
Have a nice day

Hi and thanks for the answer. However, I mean the alarm that goes off ON MY „SECURITY“ APP ON MY PHONE. Thank you for your help.

Hi Astrid,
On Android 8 or later, you should be able to change the notification sound. Go to the Home + Security app > Settings > Notifications, to access advanced notification settings. Notifications are classified into "channels" for each kind of events (unknown faces, Indoor/Outdoor Camera motion detection, Smoke Alarm...) and you can choose the behavior for each channel. You can disable notifications for certain channels or even change the sound for a specific channel if your Android phone allows this option.
On iOS, it is not possible to change the notification sound.

Since mine is an iPhone: do you intend to change that soon?! Not having a proper alarm sound when your house is on fire and you‘re eg not there completely defeats the purpose of an app, don‘t you agree?
