Valve reboot loop

jfvercueil

Hi,

After replacing the batteries, my valve seems to be stuck in a reboot loop? The valve displays the two hyphens which according to https://helpcenter.netatmo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360017133899-A-logo-appears-on-the-Smart-Radiator-Valve-screen-what-does-it-mean this means that the valve is booting, but then continues to do this all the time.

Any ideas on how to fix this or how to factory reset the valve ?

Hi mine did this and ran through two sets of batteries in two days. I added a strip of baking foil between the batteries and the gauze contact strip and it seemed to help the valve get to the connect and calibrate stages. I’m guessing my gauze is somehow contaminated and may not be making a good connection. IHTH

@jdvercueil have you ever found a solution? I have exactly the same issue as you and nothing helps. I tried the aluminum strip as well with no success.

I have this valve having issue since the beginning, but not the boot loop which happened now.

And I found this solution and.. Omg ! It works!

So my conclusion is that there is a potential contact issue with the aluminium plate to close on the batteries, bad adjustment/contact, which make it works but quite often having issues... Then I guess disconnection.

The stuck of aluminium papers is just thickening the contact, more on contact, so it's a conception or factory issue with the aluminium plate door... 😳

Also, my batteries where new, but the valve was indicating them already half loaded maybe even less. And now with the stuck of aluminium paper it's full. It's for me the double confirmation about this factory issue.
