Multiple homes using one heating source?
Hi,
I have two apartments on same floor and there is only one heating source - gas boiler. I currently have one relay + thermostat and 2 smart valves which are installed in apartment No 1. When I put smart valves into apt No2 where there will be two new zones, is it possible that apt No2 be a new Home?
To rephrase: Can I have multiple homes configured using one heating source with one relay? I need to have situation that every tenant can see his own zones and only controls zones/valves in his/her apt.
How to accomplish that? Do I need two relays on the same boiler (heating source)?
Thanks

No, "Homes" are completely separated.
You will need an extra Thermostat for the second apartment and wire that one in parallel on the boiler with the one from apartment 1.
So I need another relay connected in parallel with existing one and new thermostat that will be paired with new relay?
If you want to have two separate „homes“ of even run two separate Netatmo accounts then yes. Thermostat and Relais only come as a combo anyway.
Allow me to summarise and correct me if I’m wrong:
1) New combo relay + thermostat
2) Relay to be connected in parallel with current one
3) New account to which I will register new relay, thermostat and all new smart valves.
Correct?
Thanks
Yes, then both apartments can start the boiler and operate individually.
To be clear, I‘m talking about the classic Netatmo Thermostat, not the modulating one.
Thanks. That’s good info. That’s what I need.
