Neatmo Weather station and Homekit Answered

Dear Netatmo Support,

I recently purchased a complete Netatmo Weather Station, including the anemometer and rain gauge, with great enthusiasm. However, I was disappointed to discover that these modules are not currently supported for automations within Apple HomeKit.

I was wondering if there is any possibility of future Matter support for these devices, or if they will be more fully integrated into HomeKit to enable the creation of automations based on wind and rain data.

    Hello Jarda,

    Rain and Wind gauges are not supported by Apple HomeKit, so they are displayed in the Home app as "unmanaged".

    Netatmo products do not support Thread or Matter protocols, because they require a dedicated hardware, it is not just a certification.  As always, we remain attentive to innovations, and we will choose the technologies that we think are the most appropriate for future products.
