Bell transformer

Can I use this bell transformer to connect my Netatmo Video Doorbell? It outputs AC. https://www.gamma.nl/assortiment/ezviz-transformator/p/B201668

The Doorbell supports: 8-24 VAC & 230 VAC, minimum 8 VA

8VA at 8V are 1A, but the past has shown that like 2A are more recommended.

I switched mine from a 8VA to a 16VA (2A) transformer and it works perfectly now.

    Good to know, thanks!

I was in doubt because of this Reddit post:

Here they’re saying that you need to have a transformer with DC output, but that’s not true if I understand you correctly.

It can take both, the Netatmo transformers are actually DC.

But AC is more common for doorbells.

Minimum is 12 VA I would say, 16VA if the distance is more 5 meters.
