Is the outdoor temperature sensor affected by rain? I’m guessing that the exterior of the device can become cooled by cold rainwater falling on it and the wet surface will be cooled by evaporation (varied by wind speed) and that these can affect its interior parts. So, it’s possibly best to protect the sensor from rain? (I’ve only just bought the weather station so haven’t had time to experiment!)

I want to measure temperature near to ground level so I’ll put it in a ventilated box.
