Netatmo thermostat relay; how to run relay/boiler/heater by duration instead of temperature
Hey, we've got wifi netatmo thermo and a relay connected to boiler/heater. Its working ok with schedule temp setpoints. Question is; is it possible to configure it so it can turn on/off by duration instead of temperature. Example; run boiler/heater for given minutes like 30 minutes then stop for given minutes like 15/30 minutes then run again for 30 minutes so on in a cycle regardless of temperature.
It seems like this simple but valuable option is missing. I think it would be very nice to have for many users and i think it would be simple to implement such an algorithm.
Btw, i think the goal can be achieved or simulated by setting up a schedule with high/low temp points for each hour but it would be inconvenient to setup it.

Well, if the room temperature reading is actually not important, then you don‘t need a thermostat.
Just wire a simple timer to your boiler and you get what you want, there are „smart“ ones with app control out there as well.
