Using smart thermostat with SIEMENS RDJ100RF Digital Room STAT

klamarine

I have moved into a home with a Netatmo smart thermostat. I have connected everything, I have the app on my phone and set heating schedules. There is also a SIEMENS RDJ100RF thermostat connected to the boiler, which is how I currently turn the heating on and off. I need to know what setting to leave the SIEMENS on, which will allow the Netatmo thermostat to take over control of the system. I have messed around with different settings, and the Netatmo still hasn't taken control. If that makes sense. TIA.

Do you mean you want to replace this Siemens thermostat with the Netatmo Thermostat?

Yes, I want to only use the netatmo thermostat, but I am not sure how to switch over. Currently I have my netatmo schedule set, but the siemens is still "in control" of the boiler. Currently I can only get the boiler on via the old siemens.

So did you already wire the Relais to your boiler then?

yes, everything is done as far as i know, however, the netatmo doesn't control the boiler yet. I can only control the boiler with the old siemens.

Hm, then I would try to disconnect the Siemens Thermostat first. 2 Thermostats in parallel are always trouble.

If it still doesn't work, please post you boiler brand and model and maybe a photo of how you connected the Netatmo Relais, thanks 👍
