True temperature doesn't work anymore

blorentsen
I just wanted to adjust the true temperature as it is showing wrong temperature and thus heating when it shouldn't making the room way too hot. Anybody else experienced that? And do you know of a solution for it? I have had to set the away condition in order to make it just a little comfortable in the room.

Same here. One can change the True Temperature in the app, but it is never applied to the room/devices

The True temperature cannot be set in the application again. The command is sent, but the change is not implemented!

I'm in France and I have the same problem. I can't change the temperature. It's mind-blowing. There are many forums complaining about this situation. I have a difference of 4 degrees and I can't change the temperature on my valves? We all need a very quick response from Netatmo.

Yes here we are again, a problem with True Temperature, the feature that makes this whole ecosystem work. How can this keep failing!? What is going on over there?

Can someone explain how the true temperature is working now. Previously I just adjusted it in the app and it changed the true temp straight away in the app and valve. Now it’s not, I’m having to increase the temperature to get the radiators going, and then quite quickly the true temp is following it up. So completely inaccurate, was working perfectly 5 months ago. And this is for all 7 valves

There is a new problem with Netatmo's infrastructure and the true temperature function is not working again.

It is not normal for this function to malfunction every three months and prevent us from having functional heating.
You also do not allow the valves to be automatically updated based on an outdoor sensor, even though this is possible on basic thermostats.

I also don't understand why the “true temperature” function does not appear in the API documentation, as it remains an important function of any automation system, given that the endpoint is in place and functional.

I'm really starting to regret choosing Legrand and Netatmo.

Same here in Czechia, the function no longer works. Any outlook on when this will get fixed, Netatmo?

Same here. Without true temperature it‘s far from smart…
Actually, I‘m wondering why I need to report the true temperature to the valves on my own. The whole idea having a complete Netatmo setup incl. weatherstation plus outdoor sensor was to have a system doing all this on it‘s own…

I'd settle for a little thermometer you can position in the room that can keep the radiator valve's temperature more accurate, doesn't even need a screen. Relying on a thermometer next to a heat source and often under a window makes no sense really.

Are Netatmo monitoring this conversation and actively trying to resolve or r we all shouting into the wind?

It's not working for me either. Today, the radiator showed 12 degrees Celsius, which caused the furnace to turn on. The actual temperature was 21 degrees Celsius. Everything started to go wrong after the new website design was introduced, which, in my opinion, is now much worse and less intuitive than before the changes. A lot of money wasted on this company's system.

I have the same problem and I opened a ticket through support. I think it would be more efficient if everyone experiencing the problem opened a ticket because the forum is not necessarily read or taken into account. https://helpcenter.netatmo.com/hc

This is a public forum, everyone can see our complaints, no one can see your ticket, openly complaining is more beneficial, as it puts more pressure on them. They already know there's a problem. We need more voices on here.

I just got reply from Technical Support Agent to my ticket:

“Our technical department is aware of this issue and is already working on a software solution to resolve this situation with future updates. Please forgive us for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please enable automatic updates for the Netatmo apps. The patch will be deployed very soon. I'll make sure to keep you updated with any progress or information we find.”

so another disadvantage of the new website, on the old version it could be done from a browser which was much better than the one we have now.

True temperature is still not working correctly. Changes temporarily, but the change does not stay and temperature keeps reverting to incorrect temperature reading.

I am still having this issue. I thought I was going mad as had to re correct the temperature by about a degree C every day. Yesterday I added 6 degrees to the true temperature. The temperature history in the app shows that this new false true temperature was logged but then four hours later it shows that four hours later it drops by 6 degrees again.

Is this actively being worked on?

I had the same problem, that the new value set using the "actual temperature" function on the relevant smart radiator valve changed back to the original old value after some time. I found out that the error was in the smart radiator valve itself and could be fixed by "restarting" it - removing and reinserting the batteries. After such a "restart", the error on the smart radiator valve was fixed, so I recommend trying this procedure if you encounter a similar error.

The problem/bug is not solved at all!!! It is still the same. I adjust the true temperature every day, and every day it goes back to the wrong reading. It's a mistake of 4 degrees and I have been asking for support for the last 3 months!!! Is there a solution in sight??????

You need to create a new virtual room and move the valve into that room. Then you can put it back into the original room. This resets the settings. Since I did this, I haven't had any more problems.

true temp doesn't work, when do you think to fix it?

I have the same issue. Netatmo Smart Valve (serial number 09:00:00:15:66:0e) shows 21.5 degree, however other thermometer in the same room measures 19.3 degree. I adjust the room's true temperature to 19.3 degree in the Energy app. Few minutes later both 19.5 (I guess 19.3 is rounded up to 19.5 which is fine) is shown both by the app and the valve itself and that radiator starts to heat.

30 mins or, 1,2,3 hours later the Valve and the App seems forget the previously set true temperature and it shows again 1-2 degree higher than it is. Consequently the radiator does not heat and there s "cold" in the room.

I tried to remove to reset the valve via removing its batteries and the re-set the true temperature, but the same thing happened. After a while both the valve and the app forget the set true temperature. I believe it is an error on Netatmo server side.

    Netatmo Team please fix it.

If you need more specific diagnostic data I am happy to assist you with serial number of my Netatmo Thermostat, Relay and the exact time when I did the true temperature setting.
