Replacement of Smart Thermo - Existing Netatmo Relay or New Netatmo Relay? +HomeKit Setup
Hi.
WHAT I INHERITED
I have moved into a property with a Netatmo Relay already set up/connected to our Vaillant boiler. The Netatmo Smart Thermo was dead. I bought a new Netatmo Smart Thermo - Which includes a new Relay.
CURRENT POSITION
I tested the EXISTING Relay by pressing the lower button. The light appeared on the Relay (no flashing. It's continuously on). I can't tell if this light is Blue or White (No comparison of the two different states).
I finds our home Router ok.
I set up the new Netatmo Smart Thermo - Put in batteries & assembled the unit. It displays the two temperatures.
HOMEKIT SETUP
The NEW Netatmo Relay has a HomeKit Code sticker attached to the front of it.
My EXISTING (active) Relay DOES NOT have a HomeKit Code sticker attached to its front.
PROBLEM
To prepare my HomeKit, the instructions say I will need to use that Code.
What I don't know is whether the HomeKit Code sticker on my NEW Relay will work for the EXISTING Relay connected to my Boiler. OR, it won't work because the Code is only relevent to the NEW Relay that came with the NEW Smart Thermo.
Before using the Code, I pressed 'Continue' in the HomeKit Setup (on my iPhone). It then shows a screen... "Waiting for your product" "This may take a while". The problem here is - I don't know how long 'A while' is (1 minute? 10 minutes? 30 minutes?).
HELP
I am writing this while waiting for the HomeKit Setup to recognise my product. But nothing is happening. I haven't been asked to scan the HomeKit Code yet.
Should I be pressing the button on the Relay to make it flash 5 times?
Should I be resetting the EXISTING Relay? How?
Should I be disconnecting the EXISTING (old but connected to the boiler) Relay and plugging in the NEW Relay (that came with the new Smart Thermo)? If so why? It's new hardware? New Firmware? New Software?
Will the HomeKit Code sticker attached to my New Relay, work in the setup of the HomeKit with the EXISTING Relay?
Thanks
Fraser

The code is bound to the new hardware, you have to wire the new Relais to your boiler and use the Thermostat, that came with the new Relais.
Then you open the Apple Home App on your iPhone, press the + in the upper right corner and you will be asked to scan the Homekit QR Code to set it up. Then follow the instructions.
