Wall thermostat glass has become opaque.

I had my Netatmo thermostat fitted in our new house two years ago. It ha worked well up to now but the clear plastic face of the thermostat has become opaque meaning it is very difficult to read. As you suggested, I looked on the chat line about “ unreadable thermostat screen” and was surprised at the number of other customers who had the same problem. However you said (some time ago) that this was not something you could fix. Can I ask if you now are able to offer a solution to what seems to be a common problem? The wall thermostat easily detaches from the wall so why can’t you supply me with a new thermostat? Regards, David Fraser.

    The Thermostat is factory-paired with its Relay, so we cannot sell them separately.

    For personalized assistance, please contact our support team and send them a picture of your device showing the condition of the screen and your purchase invoice. If possible, my colleagues will provide you with a suitable solution.

    Hi,

    I have used the smart Thermostat since more than 10 years at different locations, all ok. Now the display seems to be broken (see photo attached), so I have ordered and received a new thermostat set. Now the question is if I can just replace the display peace or if there could be provided an instruction for the replacement. I hope there is no need to start the installation from the very beginning, while initially I could not and did not do the process.

    We have 4 thermostats, 3 of them same problem. It’s a problem of this trademark. No solution. Better to change to another thermostat

    We have had exactly the same problem so had a new thermostat fitted, which no one has been able to pair with the app on my mobile, despite the attempts of two different engineers. It's especially irritating when, on the app, it says, "Congratulations, you are now connected" and within a few seconds, the relay goes blank. We wish we'd kept the old thermostat with the thermostat that we could use on the app, which we could read!

    Best solution is to buy a new screen on aliexpress for about 10 bucks.   takes about 10 mins to change, just follow a video on youtube.

    I have 3 of this termostat in different locations and nearly the same time al 3 got the same display problem, one of them was even new, I unboxed it a couple of months before. This smells like planned obsolescence. I really cant understand why Netatmo is not reacting on this problem. How can I reach someone in support to discuss this topic?

    Me 3 of 4. It’s a design failure. Everybody has the same problem.
