Batteries

I don't understand the function of the three batteries: are they needed for the thermostat to function normally or only in the event of a power outage?

    Hi,

    The Netatmo Thermostat is battery-powered.

Before any purchase, we recommend checking the compatibility of your installation on https://check.netatmo.com/.

If the exact model of your boiler is not listed, you should know that 98% of individual heating systems (boilers, heat pumps, wood stoves, etc.) are compatible with the Netatmo thermostat and that you have 60 days to return it if purchased from our online store shop.netatmo.com if necessary.

You can use your boiler installation manual to check the compatibility of your system. You can also contact your heating engineer or the manufacturer of your boiler.

Why not try to let the thermostat function without those batteries then? See if the thermostat remains connected to the relay, or that it shows the temperature on the display.

Then you will know what those batteries are for.
