Video previews on Netatmo Security App
Since an upgrade in December, 2025, the Netatmo Security App on my iPhone (iOS 26.2) no longer shows video previews when only one person is seen. However, it shows at least one preview when more than one person is seen in the video.
Update after update since December and this issue still remains. Please advice on what to do!

Same here.
I changed the SD card because I remembered having had a similar problem before. But that didn't solve it. Tomorrow I'll reset the camera and set it up again. In the vague hope that that will help.
Lately, they've been constantly making the app worse, not releasing any release notes, and when you try to contact customer service, you only get half-baked answers. And usually a request to reset the camera.
If anything happens on my side, I let you know. But I'm not very hopeful.
I confirm, I thought it was my problem, but unfortunately I see it's related to the latest firmware. Outdoor cameras aren't affected by this problem; the preview works on those.
Same here. A reset did not solve it. I thought it was related to the wifi, so I placed the wifi AP closer to the doorbell (now 3m), but this did not solve it either. Since the Legrand take over, Netatmo's quality seems to go downhill.
I have the same problem. Changing the sd-card brings no solution!
I came to the forum for this problem as well. I searched for issues about thumbnails and found this thread, where Giada responded. She seems to indicate that a fix is in the works?
There was also a much older thread where Sasha suggested deleting and re-installing the Security app. I have tried that and it produced no immediate improvement.
I'm glad (sort of) to read that changing the card doesn't help, because I brought my doorbell in to try that very thing. I guess it's not the issue.
same problem here with the videos. Says it can not connect to the device.
I can also not access the set-up for Dropbox and for FTP. Dropbox I get a screen with some text but no options at all. For FTP nothing comes up and I have to restart the app.
Very crapy software...
Netatmo support responded to my issue:
“Several users have reported the same problem and our engineers are investigating it to develop a fix.”
This isn’t very helpful even though they acknowledge the problem.
Overall, the video doorbell’s performance has significantly degraded. Not only does this specific issue exist but failing to record events is also a major disappointment. For example, a person standing right in front of the camera goes unnoticed. Furthermore, videos where you only see the back of a person walking away. It’s also very frustrating.
This is such a visually appealing video doorbell on paper but in practice it’s a big letdown.
Same problem here. Initially I bought a new sd and did a factory reset without any effect. Please fix the problem Netatmo!!!!
IMO this should have led to an immediate roll-back of the update that broke the doorbell. Maybe they literally mean "several," like say 5 out of the presumably tens of thousands of users. In that case . . . ok. But I kind of doubt it.
Having the same Problem in Android and iPhone.
They will likely drop support, since they dont have it any more in their Homepage.
I dont think they will fix it.
