Your Camera will use your phone's geolocation to detect when you leave your home. The performance of this feature may vary depending on your phone's battery management settings.
To ensure proper geolocation functionality on your Android device, follow these steps:
- Check location settings: Go to Settings > Apps > Security > Permissions and make sure location services are set to "Always allowed" for Home + Security. Also, uncheck the option that automatically revokes permissions when inactive.
- Enable background location services: Go to Settings > Apps > Security > Battery and allow background activity.
- Manage battery settings and optimizations: Go to Settings > Battery > and look for battery optimization settings. Disable optimization for the Home + Security app.
- Lock the Home + Security app: Open your Home + Security app, then launch the recent apps menu. Above the Home + Security app, open the contextual menu to lock/pin the app.
Manufacturer-specific instructions:
- Samsung: Go to Settings > Device care > Battery > Unmonitored apps, and add the Home + Security app.
- Huawei: Go to Settings > Battery > App launch, and disable automatic management for the Home + Security app.
- Xiaomi: Go to Settings > Battery & performance > Manage app battery usage, and select "No restrictions" for the Home + Security app.
